SINGAPORE - Park Hotel Group has lost its third management contract - this time, for Park Hotel Farrer Park, following the winding up of a firm that used to own the Singapore-based hospitality group. The 300-room hotel in Little India, owned by RB Capital, is now managed by IHG Hotels & Resorts and rebranded to Holiday Inn Singapore Little India on Sept 7 ahead of a renovation for its relaunch. IHG now manages three of RB Capital's Singapore hotels and nearly 1,000 rooms here - Holiday Inn Singapore Little India, Holiday Inn Express Clarke Quay and InterContinental Singapore Robertson Quay. TORONTO -- The federal government is easing international travel restrictions this week, with fully vaccinated foreign nationals allowed to enter Canada for non-essential purposes, such as tourism, starting Tuesday. International travellers who meet entry conditions will not have to quarantine for 14 days upon arrival, the latest in the government of Canada's phased border reopening plan. Most international travellers have been barred from entering the country since the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. Canada's largest and busiest airport, Toronto Pearson International, is reminding travellers to give themselves more time when travelling and to expect delays due to increased passenger volume and COVID-19 health measures. The Greater Toronto Airport Authority said in a statement that international travellers arriving at Pearson should prepare for the process to take up to three hours or more due to COVID-19 screening measures. Amid hiring troubles, Walt Disney World has raised its hiring bonuses for select Cast Member roles. The role most affected by the change is chef's assistant as well as Cook 1 candidates, which now offers a $1,500 bonus for new hires. Other roles, including certain positions in culinary and housekeeping staff, continue to offer a $1,000 bonus. Pay rates range from $14.00 to $19.00 per hour, with pay increases coming Sunday, October 3rd. Other positions being sought include custodial, quick service food and beverage, and steward capacities. Full- and part-time positions are available. Additionally, Disney has announced a job fair to be held in Veracruz Exhibit Hall C at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort on Monday, September 20th.
