The developer behind the planned multi-million refurbishment of a famous Gweedore hotel said work will start at the end of the summer. Last August, Vesada Private Ltd was granted planning permission for the redevelopment of the Seaview Hotel.  An extension will add eighty new bedrooms, a new cafe and an additional restaurant to the hotel at Magheraclogher.  The former Seaview nightclub will be demolished under the project to create new rooms and a gym. In total, 44 new bedrooms will be added to the building, while the existing 36 rooms will be renovated alongside the original bar and restaurant. Two apartments will also be constructed. A spokesman for Veseda told Donegal Daily today that the works will start in late August or early September. The company is carrying out the development as part of their €15m investment to reopen both the Seaview and the nearby Óstán Ghaoth Dobhair.
