Maharajas' Express is one of the most affluent Indian trains and is made to cater to travellers, who love travelling in the lap of luxury, literally! The Maharajas' Express runs on different routes but majorly covers Udaipur – Jodhpur – Bikaner – Jaipur – Ranthambore – Agra – New Delhi and even Mumbai and Ajanta. The itinerary will depend on the type of tour chosen for travel. Though it is a huge hit with international tourists, Maharajas' Express has takers among Indian nationals also.

Price of Maharajas' Express Train Tickets

The ticket price differs depending upon the season and never remains fixed. However, on average, one night's travel on the train would cost INR 100000. The prices go up during peak holiday seasons such as Christmas and New Year's Eve. It is also the part of the year when several foreign tourists visit India to get the experience of travelling in an Indian luxury train. So, that's another reason for the prices to be on the higher end. For tourists willing to travel on this train during this season, it is important to book the tickets at least five months before the desired date of travel.

Child Ticketing Policy

Children below the age of 5 years can travel with their guardians without tickets. Children between 5-12 years of age have to pay 50 per cent of the adult ticket fare subject to double bed sharing with two adults. For getting a separate cabin for your child, the fare would be the same as the adult ticket fare, but additional charges also have to be paid. Children above 12 years of age need to pay the full adult ticket fare.

Accommodation on Maharajas' Express

Maharajas' Express provides four types of accommodations.

The Deluxe cabin is the cheapest of all. The other three accommodations are the Junior Suites, Suite and the Presidential Suite. The Presidential Suite is the most expensive and luxurious cabin one can afford. Tourists onboard will be provided unlimited Wi-Fi access, attached bathroom, access to bar, lounge, dining hall and souvenir shop.
