Port Coquitlam Car Show: Road Closure Map Now Available
Roads will be closed this weekend in downtown Port Coquitlam to make way for a massive car show, and event-goers are encouraged to walk or take transit.
One of the biggest events of the year in the Tri-Cities is about to happen and it's all taking place in downtown Port Coquitlam.
This free event for vintage vehicle buffs, hot rodders and car enthusiasts is called the Downtown Port Coquitlam Car Show.
It occurs each year in the city's downtown core, with 500 cars on display and thousands of visitors taking in the amazing car collection.
To make the event is a success, road closures will be in place Saturday (Aug. 19) and Sunday (Aug. 20) with maps provided by the event organizers.
The closures are to accommodate the evening car cruise, which takes place on Saturday evening, and the car show itself, which begins at 10 a.M.
Here is the list of activities and times:
Car Cruise: Saturday, Aug. 19
Car Show: Sunday, Aug. 20
Car show organizers are encouraging event-goers to walk, cycle or take transit.
However, free parking is available during the car show Sunday (Aug. 20) at the West Coast Express parking lot at Wilson and Kingsway Avenues.
View this City of Port Coquitlam map for other downtown parking options, but please note that some downtown roads on this map will be closed during the car show – check against road closure maps on this page.
